About Brave New Play Rites
A short play festival produced cooperatively between the University of British Columbia's Creative Writing Program and Theatre Department. With the guidance of seasoned theatre professionals, Brave New Directors and Playwrights bring fresh new work to the stage. The dozen or more plays in the festival are acted by students and the wider public creating a rich fresh take on the theatre creation.
2012 will mark the festival's 26th season.
